Our Daughters, Ourselves

Perez , 16, was abducted outside of her school, drugged, raped, tortured and impaled.  To be born a girl is to be born a mistake a fault and a sin. Our daughters lives are considered disposable. Our daughters still live in a world where to be a girl is a crime punishable by death. This is the man’s world where me and my daughter in addition to her friends and all girls and women still find ourselves living in. Silence is deadly. Silence is complacency.
